Hints and tips
General Recommendations:
Avoid sore feet; boots are the most important part! If you have your own ski or snowboard boots we highly recommend bringing them along with you to ensure you have a fantastic riding experience in Japan. We stock the best range of boots on the market but unfortunately you can never guarantee the perfect fit. After all they are “rental boots” !
If you would like to have your boots professionally fitted, or you are interested in buying new boots this season, we recommend making an appointment to see Ned at Boot Solutions.
Equipment exchange (Swap Policy)
Customers are welcome to swap equipment, packages and sizes (of the same value) when the equipment is available. This means you can change skis or boards to suit snow conditions. We also provide a waxing service as the snow temperature changes dramatically in Japan. This means we have to change wax compound to suit.
Equipment, packages and sizing
Package names are provided as a guide to pricing only and can be swapped e.g. change a mid-fat ski to a fat ski package at no extra charge and / or to a different mode / type of ski. Swapping from skis to snowboards and vice versa is also available, however we cannot hold the gear you are swapping from so keep in mind it might not be available when you wish to swap back.
Children or adults?
Children's prices are determined by the size of the equipment required. Skis up to 140 cms in length and snowboards up to 135 cms are considered children’s. Most children under 12 fit into this equipment.
Don't know what skis or ski length we should be ordering? Don't be too concerned about this as our SWAP policy allows you to try different skis and sizes (when available). Our staff are experts - they love to give great advise and will recommend the ideal ski or board on any particular day.
Half sizes? Boots are generally not available in half sizes. However as we have up to four different brands of boots this means we can utilize the different fits to help find the perfect boot for you.
Arrival and rental pick-up
Be ready to hit the slopes early the next morning! You can pick up your rental equipment the afternoon / evening before your rental starts with prior permission / notification at no extra charge. We will pick you up from your accommodation on request in our 8 seater van. Just call to arrange a time.
Payments, prices and orders
Payments from this website are NOT processed automatically. We prefer to ensure and guarantee that the equipment you require will be available on the dates you require PRIOR to processing payment. Credit cards are processed in Australian AUD currency and are processed upon confirmation of rental. Credit card Invoices are generated automatically and are not considered a valid invoice until the card has been charged.
Refund policy
We are happy to refund your money if you notify us within 7 days of arrival. We cannot provide any refunds if gear is returned early.
